Ok I loved this. My dad (72 and more than a bit bonkers) claims that once, a podiatrist told him he had perfect feet. Perfect! Feet! He regularly shares this information with us at the most random of times. Family dinner: Did I give any of you my perfect feet? After a grandchild breaks a toe: Alas, looks like he didn’t get my perfect toe alignment.

My youngest and your mother could bond deeply over their fear and wild beliefs about bees/wasps. They are 100% out to get him, especially in the fall.

Who gave you this gift? *snort*

I have never, in 45 years, been stung by a bee or wasp, so I am naturally terrified that I will get stung and have a fun surprise of finding out I'm highly allergic as I die...

I do love this post. Reminds me of my mom, who is also crazy afraid of all bees and stinging creatures. I mean, some of them really are assholes and do just sting for sport. But mom will flail about wildly for a goofy little bumblebee. I'm mildly allergic and seem to get increasingly angry swollen lumps each time I'm stung, but even I am unable to convince my mother that her flailing is not helping and if anything might accidentally anger or scare a stinging thing and make it worse.
